Let's Go Fly A Kite

We decided that since the weather was a bit cold and windy that it might be a good Family Home Evening to try to fly kites that the kids got for Easter. Heath helped Kamdon get his kite in the air and right off the bat he was a PRO. It was so funny. He just kept giggling and was the perfect kite flyer. (he only let go twice sending Heath to chase down the kite). Taylee and Tydon, on the other hand, were trying so hard to make thier kites fly, that they weren't doing so hot. They were so frustrated that Kamdon could fly his kite and they could not. We finally figured that Kam was so successful because he just stood there and didn't move. After a lot of running back and forth between kids, Heath had all three kites in the air .... only for a minute or so. What a great Family Night.

Tydon kept saying, "This is the best Activity!"

If you look closely, you can see that we actually got all three kites in the air. The kids thought that was a blast!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the Special "Ladies" in The Holverson Family's Life! We hope you had a great day! I was able to enjoy 3 children who were on their best behavior (Thanks guys), a great husband who did most of the cooking, cleaning, and child watching today, and enjoyed a needed 2 and 1/2 hour nap. Tydon brought home the cutest book from school for me. His teacher is great at this kind of thing. It is titled "For My Mother" and was filled with pictures that he had drawn. Taylee made me a great picture at school and told me today in church, Mom , "You are so Cute!" Thanks, Taylee. I needed that! And Kamdon gave me kisses over and over again tonight. What great kids. It should be Mother's Day everyday!

No Mother of The Year Award for Me ...

A couple of months ago Tydon started to complain that his tooth was bothering him. I began the process of finding a new dentist. After making a few phone calls and putting my dad to work, we had a few names of dentists in the area to try. The next week I went to find my important paper and you guessed it, I miss placed it. We were back to square one. My dad gave us the cell phone of a family friend and local orthodontist to contact, again, and so we were going to start over. I turned that job over to Heath ... and the phone call never was made. A few weeks later we received new dental insurance cards in the mail. This time I was glad we hadn't followed up with the orthodontist cause now all of our providers had changed. Anyways, Tydon had quit complaining by this time about his tooth and I just kind of put it off. (I Know, what was I thinking!) Last week he started to complain again, and the pain just kept getting worse. Today, I found a dentist and took him right in. The poor kid had to have a "BABY" root canal. I felt horrible that I had waited so long and I don't deserve the "Mother of the Year" Award for this dental disaster!
Tydon is feeling much better!! I fed him chicken noodle soup and a cinnamon roll for lunch , since I felt so bad. His numbness is starting to wear off and he just told me his tooth is feeling amazing! He is up and playing and can't wait for his 2nd soccer game tonight.
What a BRAVE kid - I love you Tydon!

What a Great Day

When the weather starts to warm up, our favorite thing to do for dinner is to cook on the grill. Heath is a mean Grilling Chef. He cooked our turkey outside and it turned out delicious!! Thanks for a great dinner!
It was such a Beautiful Sunday afternoon that we spent it outside. Heath, finally, (we have had the seat since Kam's last birthday in July) spent a few minutes to set up Kamdon's Bike Seat. We decided to put the seat on Heath's bike since I am already carrying another kid. That was a good decision! Kamdon was in Heaven. He loved every minute of his ride. Thanks for the great bike seat "MA MA" and "PA PA."
We all decided to go on a ride. I even attempted to ride my bike on a short ride. (I am not quite sure what I was thinking except that it was such a great day and I wanted to go on a ride with my family -- maybe I will try again in a few weeks and the ride will trigger labor.)

Since We've Been Home ...

My kids actually wore their "Easter Outfits" to our Church today. Happy Late Easter. Since we had sick kids on Easter, had general conference, and visited Idaho Falls this was the first chance we had to wear them! Look at those cute kids!
We visited the Hoogle Zoo yesterday. The kids had a great time. They were excited to see the elephants and Tydon loved the gorilla's. It was an overcast day, but the weather was still pretty warm. I think we will get our money out of our zoo pass that we decided to buy while in Idaho Falls. (even if we use it one more time, it will be paid for -- and I think zoo hoping is kind of Fun)

Tydon played in his very first Soccer Game on Tuesday night. He was in HEAVEN! He caught right on and made 2 goals and one assist. He was so proud and loved every minute of it. He kept telling us that he was sure he was going to get a trophy when soccer was over because his coach was going to be so proud of him.

The day after we got home from Idaho Falls, we had a glimpse of summer. The weather was beautiful so we took the kids on a picnic for Family Home Evening. Then on Tuesday, Mom, Sarah, and Makinley missed us so much that they came to visit for a couple of days. We had a great time running a few errands, painting some new summer door hangings, shopping for Jess and Chad's wedding, and watching "27 Dresses." We were glad they came to visit!
