I feel like Martha ...

I have been excited for Fall and for Halloween to roll around. Ashley and I have been crafting and getting ready for the Holiday. Just call me, Martha!

Go, Coug's

Last weekend we headed to the BYU game with Heath's family! (We missed you Heather and Ryan!) We all had a great time watching the Cougar's pull off a good win!

Build a Bear with Grandma

Grandma Sandy came to town for a couple of days. We wanted to do something fun, so she decided to take all the kids to build a bear. Oh my, the kids had a great time!! Choosing our new friends

Let the stuffing begin!

Kamdon was so excited to give his dog a bath.

The boys all found strollers to put their animals in. They were in HEAVEN!

(While the other kids were finishing up ... these boys pushed their new friends
up and down the mall)

Thanks, Grandma! We all had a blast!

Great Family Fun

On Wednesday night the Utah Funeral Director's Association had a Family Night. They fed us dinner, educated my Funeral Director, and kept us entertained till 10 p.m. that night. We had a blast spending the evening together ... and their is nothing better than a Fun evening on the Funeral Home! (Thanks, again!) Kamdon wasn't tall enough to ride or participate in some of the larger rides/games, so I let him spend a lot of our tokens. He had a great time and was so thrilled when he hit the ticket JACK POT. He made sure that Heath and the other kids knew he hit the pot! (Later that night Taylee hit the Jack Pot on the same game that Kamdon had won on ... we were in ticket heaven!)

Kyler was happy just watching all the excitement!

Heath and I took Kamdon on the race cars a couple of times! He love being the passenger!

Taylee and her buddy on the 3D roller coaster ride. Thanks, Tyra for keeping Taylee busy! She loved spending the evening with you!

Tydon and his buddy, Gavin, riding the roller coaster! It was so funny to listen to these two boys screaming like little girls inside this crazy ride.

Sneak Peak

We love Fall (except it does mean the bad weather is on it's way) and we LOVE Halloween time! Ashley had a friend that wanted to go to see the Witch's at Gardner Village ... so we tagged along for a Sneak Peak at the Halloween Fun! We have plans to go with all the Merrill Grandkids the first part of October, but we decided a peak wouldn't hurt. The boys loved all the variety of witch's they saw!!

My Handsome Boys!! (Taylee and Tydon have school pictures this week, so I wanted to get a photo of these two ... I have the perfect spot and frames that I have never used!)

Kamdon's Day

Kamdon had his first day of preschool today! He was so excited to go, but was quick to make sure that I would be going with him. (Unfortunately, this won't happen forever. So as at times it makes me crazy that he wants me right by his side, I am really loving ever minute of little mommy's guy!)

He wanted to make sure that I got a picture of his backpack. He loves his hand-me-down pack!

After school, Kamdon, Kyler and I headed for a lunch date. You might wonder what we ate ... chicken of course! (Kamdon's favorite) I pulled into the McDonald's drive thru and Kamdon tells me that he wants the other chicken. He points to Carl's Jr. across the street. At this point I cannot leave the line (and Kamdon will not quit until I tell him is ok, we eat Carl's Jr.) and since I did let him pick ... Kyler and I end up eating McD's and Kam had chicken from CJ. What a Lunch!

Lots of Cans

Heath and I spent the evening on Wednesday making and canning our families favorite salsa. It is good to have it done and stocked in the cupboards again!! Chips, Anyone?
A while back I had bought a load of strawberries and our home teachers gave us some peaches. I sliced them and put them in the freezer with the intentions of making jam. So since I was in the "canning" mood, I roped Ashley into making freezer jam. We made two batch's of strawberry, one strawberry-peach, and 4 batch's of raspberry. (we just had made 2 - we didn't follow the instructions correctly, so they were runny ... we tried again ... and this time we followed the instructions exactly and still this morning ... runny raspberry jam. UMMMM .. should I try again? I am bound and determined to figure out why the raspberry didn't gel up ... any suggestions?)

Run, Run, As Fast As You Can

Taylee and Tydon had their Fun Run at school last week! The kids had a course that the school set for them in the subdivision. Heath was off of work, so he "ran" with the kids and I volunteered to help at a post along the route. The kids had a great time! Taylee

After running a great race, the school had an awards assembly!

Powder Mountain Motocross

Last Friday morning Heath got a phone call from Chad telling him that he and Justin were heading to Utah, at Powder Mountain, to race on a track designed by Jeremy McGrath. Heath and my kids were so excited!! So we got up early on Saturday morning and headed to watch the races. We were able to see our favorite riders ... Chad Reed, James Stewart and Jeremy McGrath!! (For those of that don't know my little Kamdon thinks that his amazing uncles are the real pro riders ... Chad Reed and James Stewart ... so we didn't really see those guys, but in Kamdon's (and Braxton's ... Kamdon had taught him well) mind we watched those Pro's ride in the Powder Mountain Motocross!)
Jermey McGrath riding his track that was built right on the side of the ski hill Jeremy McGrath ... and Tydon watching on in amazement!
Waiting Around for your favorite riders is always part of Motocross!!
Here we are playing the WAITING game!

Kyler spent the day yelling "CYCLE" every time he saw one ...
which was every 3 seconds ... he was in heaven!

You didn't have to ask us twice to take some of these amazing FREE sunglasses! The kids, and Aunt Amber (... thanks for being a great sport), wore their "Beauties" all afternoon!
Chad (aka: Chad Reed) waiting for his turn to rip up the track!Chad

Justin (aka: James Stewart) waiting for his turn at the starting line and
dreaming that he was going to take the Hole Shot!

Oh, My ... We had a great time and were messy to prove it!!
Thank guys for the invitation to see you ride!!
