I Love to See The Temple

Heath, Me, and Grandma Sandy took all the kids to the Draper Temple Open House. It was fun to see the beautiful rooms and to feel the spirit that is there. Taylee loved the baptismal font and the brides room, Tydon liked the baptismal font, and Kamdon just liked being at the temple! What a great family experience.

A Great Escape

Have you ever had one of those days where you feel like the weight of your life has just piled up and you have to dig yourself out before you go crazy? After a week of sick kids, a sick husband, housework, babysitting (also sick children because they have what mine have had), and being home for 5 days straight ... I HAD TO ESCAPE! "Bride Wars," a Large Soda, and a Large Bucket of Popcorn was the perfect remedy! I think I can tackle another day!

Sniffles ... Coughs ... Fevers ... Aches

Oh, What a Week ...
Our whole family has felt awful this week at one point or another! After 3 different trips to the doctor we have concluded that Kyler had the croupe and the rest of us have had a couple of horrible different virus's. Then to top it all off all of kids have had the "Merrill asthma" in full force this week. Today I decided that we sound like an awful choir with all the different noises that are coming from 6 different people. Oh, What a Week!

A Night At The Beach

My Beach Bum's
The school had a Family Night At the Beach. We have had a long week and I really didn't want to go, but the kids were so excited. I decided if we were going to attend we would all dress the part and go enjoy a night out. We took a picnic over to the school and let the kids dance the night away. It was kind of fun to get out the "beach gear" and pretend like it was 95 degrees. (Only It Made Me Wish I Was Somewhere Warm!!)

Just Finding the Time

The last month of my life has been so busy and I have had a hard time finding the time to sit and post all of our Holiday Fun! We hope your Christmas and New Years was Spectacular! Here is a quick run down of our last few weeks ... beware this post is a huge overload and could have been much worse!
Ringing in the New Year! Happy 2009! I am not a girl that makes New Years Resolutions! I hate making them because I know am just going to break them! However, I do have a few things that I really want to work on for the year!

The cabin was a blast. We were able to relax and enjoy the 2 feet of new snow that just fell! The cabin is our families favorite Relaxing Place to Be!!

Santa was so good to all of these kids ... they must have been pretty good this year! We had a great Christmas! Thanks to everyone for a fun time, great gifts, and for the time we spent with each other! It was so fun to talk to Elder Justin and to stay in our jammies all day and watch the snow fall in bucket loads. My Mr. Clause was spectacular this year and was full of surprises! Thanks, hun! (P.S. We did spend some time with the Hatch Family too ... I was taking pictures for Ashley and didn't get any great ones to share from the night they opened their Christmas gifts ... and we missed you Chad and Jess!)

T'was the Night Before Christmas ...
We enjoyed Christmas Eve Morning and Day with Heath's Family! The kids had a great time playing with Aunts, Uncles, Cousin Tamara, Grandma, Grandpa, and Uncle Eric! Thanks for a great day and for all the Fun Gifts!

The kids looked great in their Christmas Outfits at Church. Thanks Mom and Dad for the awesome matching clothes!
We took the kids shopping and let them buy simple gifts for each other. We had a special afternoon before Christmas opening gifts and the kids really enjoyed the "giving" that they did for each other!
The Monday Night before Christmas, Taylee had her first piano recital. You may remember that Taylee wanted a piano for her birthday and started saving her money that she got. After a lot of shopping around for a nice inexpensive piano with no luck ... Taylee's Grandma and Grandpa Holverson called and decided to give her their piano that no one was playing. Taylee was thrilled!! We brought it home a couple of weeks later and the next day Taylee was at the neighbor's house scheduling her own lessons with the teacher. (Funny Girl!) Needless to say, she had her Christmas song memorized the day of her first lesson and performed it perfectly just a week later! Good work Taylee! We hope you all had a great holiday season! Thanks for all of the great Christmas Cards everyone sent! Maybe we will get "Happy Everything" Cards sent out sometime this New Year!
