A Little Time Off

I started a new job this week and it all happened so FAST! I am going to be working for a local airline. I have 4 weeks of training and 2 weeks (could be 6 weeks) working in the center. I have already cried (sad to leave my kids and very over whelmed), have gotten up extremely early (I am not a morning girl), have met some great people (I hear we will be best buddies when this is over), have had to make some hard decisions (some a little harder than others), and have been extremely excited (they have some AWESOME benefits)! It has been a roller coaster 2 days. I am excited for the future and a little scared for what is really to come! It may be a few weeks before you see me again, Farewell (temporarily) Blog World!
P.S. I have the best FAMILY ever! Thanks for the support, the phone ear to cry on, for watching my kids (being their 2nd mommy) and for being the best Dad/Husband ever!!

Get-A-Way

A few months ago Heath came home and told me that we would be going to Las Vegas for a Conference. I quickly decided that I wanted to go with him. We recruited some willing Grandma's to watch our kids. (THANKS!!) I couldn't believe that we were actually going on a get-a-way. We had a fabulous time together and enjoyed 5 days in sunny Vegas. The flight was good and when we arrived, we were upgraded to a SUITE since there were no other available rooms. We were so excited and couldn't believe our room. It was GREAT!! (of course ,we had to move to a regular room after 2 nights ... it was a bit of a let down!)
A TV in the bathroom mirror??

The first day we were there, Heath had meetings all day and I was on my own. I was feeling a little lost all by myself with no children. I slept in, got ready on my own terms, watched TV, and decided to head out shopping. I decided to grab some lunch. I ordered a slice of pizza and a bottle of water. My total was $19.97. I about fainted. I thought I was ordering a slice and all this place made was a whole pizza. Where are the kids when I need them??
You can't go to Vegas and not visit the Cheese Cake Factory ...

We took a photo for another couple, so they took ours in front of this crazy statue at Caesar's Palace.

One night after Heath's meetings and my day of tearing up the strip, we decided to go into the Venetian Hotel and take a Gondola Ride. We had a great driver who sang to us as he drove us up and down the moat by all the shops. We laughed and enjoyed the ride. This was the front of our Gondola ...
and the back of our driver ...

For Valentine's Day, we got tickets to see "The Lion King." Heath snuck out of his meetings early and we grabbed a Taxi to Mandalay Bay. We found a cute little Mexican Restaurant and shared some Yummy Nacho's and then headed to the show. The costume's and stage effects were amazing. We had a great time!

On our way out of the hotel, we walked by a Tattoo Shop. Some of you know that Heath has a secret obsession with tattoo's, so we stopped to watch. (Sorry, Babe ... I just revealed your secret!)

We came home to Happy Children and Welcome Home Signs!
Thanks, Mom and Jolene for taking GOOD care of our kids while we were gone!! We had a really good time!
P.S. Where are we going next, Heath??

Friendship Cruise

I once again have been blessed to be the Enrichment (yes, our ward still calls it this) Leader. We all ( I have a wonderful committee) worked so hard to send our sister's on a cruise. We had a great turn out and a wonderful time getting to know each other.
Elizabeth created the MOST amazing ticket invitations! (Thanks, Elizabeth ... I hope you don't mind me sharing ... they were TO amazing NOT to share!)
We took photo's by our cruise ship and our Captain (R.S. President) collected tickets and gave leigh's at the door.
We had great decor, music, games, appetizer's, and dessert!
