Friends Help Celebrate

Tydon had a party with his friends on Friday Night. We had little pizza's and chips for dinner and then we opened presents.
TAKE A BITE OUT OF THESE...
I decided to be a little baker and try some fancy cupcakes. You know when you have a vision of a masterpiece in your mind and your finished product doesn't quite come out right ... that is kind of what happened with my little sharks.

Make a Wish!

Then we Headed to Jumpin Jacks for some Bouncing Fun! The kids had a great time! I took a few photo's and then turned the camera over to Heath. When I looked at the pictures today, I realized there was not one single photo of the birthday boy Bouncin Around! (I tried to have the whole party get together, but by the time I got most of them in one place I would realized someone was missing and then they were all gone again ... they were having so much fun they didn't want to stop for photo's)

When we got home, Grandpa and Grandma Holverson and Eric were here with another great gift. (This 7 year old is in Lego Heaven this year!!)

NINE months

Where does the time go??
Kyler is growing like a weed. At nine months you are crawling and pulling yourself up to everything you can reach. You love to get into things that are right at an arms reach ... including the toilet water. (Why is that so fun??) You have your 4 bottom teeth, 1 top tooth, and the 3 other tops will be cutting through any day. We love your happy personality and I love that you are a momma's boy. I am trying to treasure those moments, even though at times I am exhausted, because I know that won't last forever. You still don't love to eat food. You really dislike baby food or anything squishy. You will eat the food we are eating, if you can feed yourself. You are such a happy and smiley fella, and we are so blessed to have you in our lives.

(Kyler loves "KAM'S Ride" and has taken it over like it was his own!)

Fairy Tale Friday

Last Friday, I was able to go to Tydon's class and read a Fairy Tale. I was given, "The Golden Goose" to read to the class. After we read, I got to do a craft/activity with them. After much searching for the perfect idea, our Golden Goose came to life. It is always fun to be a part of Tydon's class.

Watch out Chad Reed and James Stewart !!!

So James Stewart and Chad Reed here I come. Chad Merrill "Not Reed" called me this week and asked if I had to work this week end. I told him that I had to be on call this week-end and he said that he was coming down to ride a track in Utah. SO I made some quick phone calls and pulled some strings and made it possible to go out to the track and ride. This was only the second time that I have ever been on a race track, the first time was in Idaho Falls two years ago. Chad brought down Justin's bike so I could ride. My bike is old and I can't get it to start. I am worried that it will cost more money to fix it than what it is worth. So thanks Chad for the invite and thanks Justin for letting me ride you bike. I HAD A BLAST and maybe sooner than later you will see me racing with the big boys.

When the Boys are Away, The Girls will Play

Having a little Pampering Done on my feet is one of most favorite things to do! I had a gift certificate that "Santa" had brought me, so I decided it was about time I use it! Having a Pedicure is Heavenly!! I took Taylee with me and she brought along a friend. They had a blast and felt like it was princess day!

Kyler was a good sport. I had planned it that he would be asleep while we were there, but of course he had other plans. He was very good and didn't even make too much noise. Next year, he will be ready to ride motorcycles with the other boys.

Some Boy Time

On Saturday, Uncle Chad came to visit and invited the boys to go the motorcycle track with him to play! Heath and my boys were so excited!! Heath went and got the supplies he needed for his bike and I got the boys ready to go. Chad arrived and they could not get Heath's motorcycle to start! He was a little bummed, but took the boys to watch and enjoyed the afternoon watching the motorcycles, playing on the toys, and spending time together!

Friday Night Excitement

Some of our friends invited us to go to Jungle Jims, Friday Night, for some family fun. The kids are so excited to ride the rides and we are excited to enjoy the evening together. On the drive there, the kids put on their ear phones and we all enjoyed the 20 minute ride. When we arrived Heath went to get Kamdon out of the car (he had fallen asleep) and pulled his ear phones off. His left ear was filled with blood. We began to freak out a little. He was still breathing and seemed fine, so we pawned Taylee and Tydon off to our friends and headed to the nearest Kids Care. When we arrived, Kam woke up and was as happy as ever, like nothing was wrong. We didn't have to wait to long before we saw a pediatrician who checked him out and let us know that we had a horrible ear infection and that ear still had a tube in it from his surgery a year ago. The tube was doing what it was supposed to do by draining the ear. I was shocked and relieved! (No doctor ever told me that his ear could drain blood and lots of it). She also ran a strep test while we were there and it came back positive. Poor kid! He had not shown any signs or symptoms of either illness. The doctor ordered some ear drops, an antibiotic and a cheese pizza. So we were off, back to try to salvage a little of the evening and to see what Taylee and Tydon were up to.

The kids had a good time riding the rides and we all had an evening of adventure!

Thinking Spring

Today the sun was out, the sky was blue, and the temperature was a whopping 50 degree's. We all are thinking about and wishing for Spring!

When the sun shines, Heath can not stand it anymore! He loves to take his bike and the kids for a little spin!

Hungry Elders

On Saturday we signed up to feed the Hungry Elders. I always love to have them in our home. Our kids have a blast and it helps them to feel what the Missionary spirit is like and helps them to remember their Uncle Justin serving! The missionaries were great with the kids and even taught them (and Heath, of course) a few new tricks. We love the Missionaries!

New Pets??

We went to the kids fair on Saturday and picked up these cute pets!!

We waited in line for an hour and a half to have the kids faces painted. It was the only booth that Taylee wanted to visit. She was so thrilled! These were some amazing face painting artists! They painted each face in under a minute or so! The kids had a great time and were so excited about their new look. Taylee never wanted to wash her face! (Thank goodness I had warned her about that before she had it done). Besides picking up these cute pets, I won a $25.00 gift card. (I NEVER WIN ANYTHING ... I ABOUT FELL OVER.) Dinner was on me!

Heath is on SWATT

For those of who know me, it has been a long time since you have seen me blogging!! Emily has been bugging me for a very long time to get back on the blog horse. So here we go… last night I was up at 2:00 am working on some stuff on the Internet and I heard this loud crashing sound in my basement. It sounded like someone was coming through the window and knocked over a tote with stuff in it, crashing it to the floor. So I immediately go running into my closet from the living room to grab my 9mm out of the safe, I put a round in the chamber and wake Emily up. By this time my heart is racing and the adrenalin is pumping through my veins, I feel like I am, the Incredible Hulk. I tell Emily what just happened and tell her I am going to go down stairs and if she hears a gun shoot to call 911. So I throw open the basement door with my gun in my hands, at the ready, acting like I am a member of the Salt Lake City SWATT team looking for the man that has broken into my basement. So around every corner I think they are waiting for me. After I clear the basement and check that all the windows are locked and I see a tote on the ground and the tote that it was sitting on has a broken lid. Stupid plastic crap just about got a Cap in it's "you know what".
