In Need of a Jump

I think my afternoon yesterday, heads to the top of my list of embarrassing moments. Here goes...
My daily adventures requires me to drop off and pick up one of the kids I watch. Yesterday, I was just a little early and got a great pick up spot at the very front - like 4 cars back - of the carpool lane. I turn my key off but leave it on just enough so that the little boys can still watch a movie. I hop in the back of the car to hold my teething and miserable baby. Just as the principal is about to begin his dismissal, I start to put Kyler in his car seat and hear my car go click, click, and die. I quickly finish buckling and race to the driver side just hoping that when I turn the key it will miraculously turn over. THAT IS NOT MY LUCK. To make the story even more interesting, I have been toying with the idea of buying a different car. The car we have needs some repairs and so for the last 2 weeks I have been bugging Heath to look at newer cars and he keeps putting me off - yes, for good reason! So when I get in the car yesterday I notice the SERVICE ENGINE SOON light on and immediately call Heath and stop by his work and still am insisting that we LOOK for a different car. So, anyways, when the car dies I am just certain that is more than just the battery, but try to quickly decide what to do. I look over to my left and see about 50 other cars just waiting for their turn to be in my spot and see a nice looking man (out of about 45 women drivers) and decide to head across the street to see if by chance he has any jumper cables ... no luck, he has given them to his wife ... what a guy. So I head to the next car, no cables. AGHHHH, I so wished I had a sign just like the guy in the picture above!! I head back to the car. By this time the cars had begun moving and like 5 teachers were yelling, WHO"S CAR IS THIS?? I am trying to keep my cool, but so want to run and hide as the children are pouring out of school, the cars are being loaded, and I am creating the hold up of the smooth flowing carpool process the school has established!! One of the teachers then offers me her jumper cables and the others decide I have to be pushed out of the way! Oh my! I jump into my car and can't get it to move into neutral so I push the brake and get it to move and we are off. What a sight! 4 Lady teachers, most in dresses, pushing the retarded lady who killed her car battery all while the students cheer them on by yelling PUSH, PUSH, PUSH, PUSH. They get me out of the way and the nice guy that I had asked for cables gives me a jump. WHEW, it started and I was on my way. Oh, what a day!

What a Deal

I am not the greatest at clipping coupons or finding great deals, but today I feel like I got a great deal. I have been watching Michelle 's
coupon journey (hoping to be better) and followed her lead on over to Albertson's!
I got 5 boxes granola bars, 15 boxes fruit rollups and gushers, 10 boxes of cereal, 4 grand biscuits, 2 crescent rolls, 12 boxes muffins, 2 brownie mixes, 3 boxes butter, 2 boxes caprisuns, 4 loafs of bread, 4 boxes of pasta, and some other mish mash items we needed all for $108.43. My normal total should have been $260.84, but with my coupons and the preferred savings with my Albertson's card I saved $151.92! Wow!! I am stocked up until the next good sale!

My Favorite Things Last Week

A Kiss For You ... and you ..... and you!

Taylee loves to use and "sneak" my cell phone and camera to make her own fun and creations! This time, this is what I got! I love you Taylee! P.S. if you get a phone call or text from this funny girl ... chances are she is borrowing my phone for your enjoyment!

One Happy Lego Fan!
Tydon's 100 dollar Lego set has finally been completed and he is a Happy Boy! Tydon loves Lego's and received a set for Christmas from Grandma Sandy and Pa Pa. His original set was missing pieces and so we returned it only to find out it was out of stock! So finally, we found the same set and we have a Happy Boy!
There is a Super Hero in the House!
Guess What Kamdon is watching?
That's right, his uncles would be proud!!! Kamdon loves motocross and anything to do with motorcycles. He asks us daily to watch "cycles" on Heath's phone. Yesterday, we subscribed to the Speed Chanel and recorded all motocross so Kamdon can watch "cycles" anytime he would like without having to have Heath's iphone. He is in Heaven!

My BABY is on the Move!

Our little guy is just as curious as ever and is in to everything that he can reach! He loves being able to explore and puts everything he finds right into his mouth. Kyler is eight months old and is cutting his 4th bottom tooth. I can't believe how fast he is growing up!

A Stop in Logan

On Saturday, Feb.7th, we stopped in Logan for the missionary homecoming of my cousin. We were able to spend some time with Grandpa and Grandma Merrill, Aunt, Uncle, and cousins, Chad and Jess, and Pa Pa and Grandma Sandy! We enjoyed dinner from our favorite restaurant in Logan!! (Ash, I took this picture just for you!) Yummy! Our salad was great! Hi, Chad and Jess!

Some Hotel Pool Fun!

Trip to Idaho Falls

We were able to spend a little time in Idaho Falls last week! Taylee and Tydon enjoyed playing in all the snow that they have. Heath, Grandma, and I decided to take the kids ice skating at Tauphaus Park Ice Rink. Before going we headed to Big 5 to look at skates. While we were trying the skates on the kids, we set Kyler on the floor. He is so curious and moving around a little. When we got back in the car, Tydon noticed he was chewing on something. It was one of the little packets that you find in everything you buy, that says, "DO NOT EAT!" We called Grandpa to get the number for Poison Control. He quickly made the call for us and we found that it wasn't toxic, and we just needed to make sure he got lots of fluids. Crazy kid! You would think that 3 adults could manage 4 children. Hee Hee!

We had a great time skating. Heath's parents and Eric were able to stop buy for a quick visit and to see the kids skate. At the end of the afternoon, Tydon and Grandma Sandy were having fun playing a little spinning game. Tydon fell and pulled Grandma down with him. Grandma's skate hit Tydon's cheek. He had a little scratch and even over a week later, still has his first "SHINER." Grandma, How is your Rear??

Random 25

OK, Here goes ... 25 Random Things About Me! (The other day Heath informed me that I was the only one that hadn't posted this yet ... HI, HUN ... here you go!)

1. I am horrible at these "Tag" things, they kind of have the same effect on me as "Chain Letters" do!
2. I HATE mornings.
3. I don't like getting ready for the day (although I do feel much better about myself and the day when I am done) and I don't like getting ready for bed (although I love bedtime.)
4. I have learned, just the last couple of years, that I LOVE getting a babysitter for my kids and that they LOVE having her come!
5. I really enjoy the bath. I love to fill it up to the top, let the overflow drain suck it out and fill it up again until ALL the hot water is gone!
6. I love to vacation ... and I always dream of vacationing where it is Warm!
7. Since getting married, (it has been 11 years) we have moved 9 times. (I HATE moving!)
8. I really do NOT like confrontation. Everybody should just mind their own business.
9. I LOVE it when all my kids are in bed and the house is so peaceful. This is my favorite time to have some ME time.
10. I really enjoy having a clean house. (My newly hired maid is my HERO.)
11. My drink of choice is WATER ... I am not a soda pop drinker.
12. We always have piles and piles of Laundry! It is never ending in our house, 6 people with dirty clothing and 2 adults who hate to Fold it is not a good match!
13. I really enjoy being Tan. My skin is so light that it takes a lot of time to accomplish this and in the winter I go right back to being "albino" color again.
14. I love having my hair high-lighted.
15. I do not drink Milk. I put very little milk on my cereal and when I take a spoonful I drain the milk off of my cereal before eating it.
16. I had Asthma pretty bad when I was little (I did outgrow it) and have passed that "wonderful" hacky cough on to all 4 of my kids. The nebulizeer is out all winter long at our house.
17. I enjoy taking photo's with my Nikon camera and always wish every photo was just a little bit better. (I am still learning photoshop ... that improves every picture)
18. I still don't know exactly what I want to "DO" or "BE" when I grow up. (Although being a stay at home mom and watching 2 extra kids keeps me busy enough to not really think to much about it yet.)
19. I love spending time my mom and sisters. (Hi, Guys)
20. I Love visiting Idaho to be with all my family!
21. I Love when Heath has the day off. It is so nice to have him home!
22. Heath and I dated in High School. We met when I was a sophomore and he was a junior. We started dating the next year. Heath then served his mission and we DID write the whole time. (Two of my sisters also married their missionaries. My dad always jokes that he had a better chance of winning the lottery (and he doesn't play)than having all his daughters write and marry their missionaries.)
23. I love to go all out for the holidays ... Decorations, Food, Gifts, etc. (I am not as good at this since I started having 6 kids running around my house everyday!) My mom is so good at this and has always made every holiday special for her kids. (Thanks for the cute Valentine Goodies) I am going to work on being better at this since I want my kids to remember this about me too.
24. I love to decorate my house. (I hate to decorate the rental home we live in right now ... I can't wait until this is FUN and easier again!)
25. I LOVE to Blog. It is a great way for me journal and to share our days with my family and friends.

THAT IS ME IN A NUT SHELL. I Tag Becky H., Taylee, Grandma Larae Merrill, Shelly B. (where are you ... we miss you) and anyone else who hasn't done this yet!

The King Says...

"DID IT MYSELF"

We went out to lunch at Burger King today.  When we were ready to leave, Kamdon had put on his own coat.  He was so proud and kept telling us, "DID IT MYSELF!"
Other cute things he said today ...
#1  This morning when I woke up he notice the medicine that I had put on my face.  He said, "Mom, face is broken."
#2 Tonight we were singing The Itsy Bitsy Spider.  I asked him if he wanted to sing it again.  He said, "When Say Go ... 5 ... 2... 1 ... GO!"
Kamdon has the cutest personality, stubborn and very CUTE!  We sure love you!

Tearing up the Ice

We had a great time together with Grandma Ice Skating.  It had been ages since Heath and I had put on skates and it was a new adventure for our kids.  They loved it and want to purchase skates!  I did great as long as I could hold on to the stroller.  Thanks, mom for a fun day at the movie and ice skating!
