Our Week At A Glance

Today Kyler had his 2 week check up. Some of our days seem to drag on, but overall the 2 weeks have gone so quickly. Kyler weighed in at 8 pounds and 10 ounces today! He is eating well and growing nicely. He has been my most fussy baby. I am slowly learning what he needs. Today, the doctor confirmed my suspicion's that Kyler is having Reflux. We have a few things to try for a couple more weeks and then if he is still having trouble, we will try a prescription. Despite his fussiness, Kyler is such a joy in our home.
I decided to have Kamdon checked while we were visiting the doctor since he woke up with a temperature. While we were waiting for our turn, he threw up in the waiting area. NICE!! Thank goodness Heath had decided to join us for the appointment, or I might have started crying hysterically in the office as I was cleaning up puke from the waiting room bathroom floor. Anyways, now that you have such a lovely image in your head, Kamdon has a "hand, foot, and mouth" (that sounds absolutely horrible) virus. It seems to be quick moving and he is already starting to be back to his normal happy self.
WHAT A WEEK! We Have Survived our first 2 weeks with FOUR children. Heath has been an amazing helper. Thanks Hun, I couldn't do it without all of your help!!

Tydon had his Kindergarten Zoo Program and Graduation! Tydon has had a great year and a great teacher! We can hardly believe that schools out for the summer. I hope I survive!

By the time Heath gets home for the evening, it is time for us to get out of the house. One night we ventured to Splash Pool. Kyler did great. He loved stretching out under the shade and the other kids had a blast in the pool as always. It was great to get outside and enjoy the fresh air and the warm weather.

A Baby Story

I can't believe how time fly's. Kyler is already a week and a half old and we are so blessed that he is a part of our family. I wanted to blog his grand entrance into the world so I can remember how it happened. So Here is Kyler's Baby Story ...

What a long few last weeks of pregnancy it was as we all waited and anticipated the arrival of baby number four. I had scheduled to be induced on the 16th of June and the doctor had stripped my membranes the Tuesday before hoping that something might trigger our little guy to come into the world. On Sunday the 15th of June, I started having contractions. They were pretty regular and then all the sudden they just stopped. Mom and Sarah walked me around the block hoping that they might start up again. Later that evening my contractions began again and were around 2 to 3 minutes apart. At about 11 p.m. we decided that since we were hoping to go in the next morning for an induction anyways, we would head to the hospital. They put me in a room, check me and said I was dilated to a 3 and kind of treated me like they were going to send me home. They monitored my contractions for an hour and a half before calling the doctor to tell him that I was having regular contractions, and that I had dilated to a 4. My doctor was not on call but the other doctor decided to keep me around 2 in the morning. YEAH! We were so excited. I waited just a little while and decided to get my epidural so that I could get some sleep and just wait. The nurse told me my doctor was coming in at 6:30 a.m. for a procedure and would see me when he was finished. The epidural process was horrible as the doctor has no bedside manner and was not gentle at all, but it was still worth it!! Once my epidural kicked in, the nausea set in and the contractions slowed right down. (that is all normal for me) So we waited until my doctor came in around 8:30 a.m. He came in and broke my water and noticed meconium. I was worried we were going to have a replay of Taylee's birth and extended hospital stay from meconium. He talked to us about how to handle everything and left me to dilate. My contractions started to have a mind of their own and started being really short and quick. When the nurse finally came in to check on me at 10 a.m., she was certain that I had made no progress and would need to have Pit. To her surprise, I was fully dilated and was ready to have a baby. All I needed to do was WAIT some more for my doctor to arrive to deliver this baby. By this time our other kids, Grandma Sandy, Sarah & Makinley, and Ashley and her boys had arrived. At 11:07 a.m. and after only 2 easy pushes, our sweet little boy was born. (at this point our little guy still did not have a name as we were undecided for the whole 9 months of pregnancy ... the names we were going to choose from were Ky, Kordon, Krew, and Kobee) The delivery was great and our baby was sweet and healthy. We were thrilled. At this time, someone asked what his name was going to be. Poor guy still didn't have a name. Sarah jumped in to tell us a name that they had heard that morning. I guess the kids had been watching a Baby Story on TV and the little baby's name was Kyler. Tydon ran upstairs and told Sarah the name of the kid on TV and told her that he liked that name. So when she threw out the name Kyler, Heath and I looked at each other and decided that we really liked it. His name would be Kyler Merrill Holverson. It was perfect. We had a great experience and are so glad that our sweet little #4 Holverson has joined our family. We have all fallen in love all over again.

We learned a few great things at our photography class and decided to put our knowledge to use. We hauled SIX children to a fun little photo place that the ladies told us about called Star Mill. It was a fun place to take photos and between 4 photographers and 6 children I think we took over 1000 pictures and ended up with around 20 "perfect" photo's and some semi-good photos and lots of just ok photo's. I haven't had a chance to practice editing any photo's yet, but here's a sneak peak at some of our shoot.

We are still plugging along . . . .

We are still here and plugging along. No, we still do not have a new baby, yet. I wish that was my excuse for my lack of blogging, but it is not. A FEW weeks ago, we sent our computer to be worked on .... and it is still gone. I am able to use Heath's laptop, but it is just not the same as having your own computer. As for the New Baby, I am still hanging in there and am feeling all those last 3 weeks of aches and pains in pregnancy. I am physically ready to have this baby here ... we will keep our blog updated on this news. We have been very busy. We traveled to Idaho for the Memorial Weekend and spent a great weekend relaxing in Island Park. W,hile we were there,Heath's Grandma passed away. Since we were there, Heath was able to be the Funeral Director in Charge. Things went good and we are happy that Heath's Grandma is with our Heavenly Father and that she is no longer suffering as she was sick for many years. We don't know where our week went!!!! We got home and had tons to do and are a little behind with our pre-baby to do list! Grandma Sandy joined up with us in Utah the next day and we were able to spend the weekend celebrating Braxton and Taylor's 1st birthday!! We had a blast! Thanks for the fun party Ashley and Justin!! On Saturday, we sent the boys to see the new movie of Indiana Jones and us girls scheduled a pedicure for the afternoon. Aghhhhhhh, that is the best thing! I was really in Need! The poor girl working on my feet, just kept scrubbing and scrubbing. She told me I need to have this done every three weeks ... I didn't argue with that! Hopefully, I can deliver a baby with great looking toes! What a fun weekend! Thanks Everyone! As for this week, we are just as busy and hoping to get ready for our new baby. I have a doctor's appointment on Tuesday .... I am going to beg for a induction date!! Wish me Luck! This weekend brings more visitors as we all are so excited to be attending the Photography Class in Salt Lake. We are hoping to become expert Picture Takers.
