We Are In A Snow Daze

What happened to Fall?? We woke up this morning to cold weather, rain, and snow! Kamdon was not sure what to think of it! He thought it was great to watch and was mad when I wouldn't let him stay outside and play in it! Since all 3 of my kids have had their first colds of the season this week, I figured a few pictures in the snow would have to be good enough for now.

In My Spare Time

Since moving to Utah, I have been able to spend some of my spare time working for the scrapbook company, Scrapworks. Yesterday, I spent the evening working at the Scrapbook Expo at the South Town Expo Center! I have never seen so many scrapbook enthusiast's in one place! The scrapbook companies were were all ready to sell their products and the scrapbooker's were ready to buy! I am enjoying spending time being a part of the scrapbook industry here in Utah!

Scrapworks Holiday Paper is really Fun! This is a card that I designed using the Halloween Paper,Shimmer Shapes (which I love), and the Fasteners. If you enjoy scrapbooking, check out Scrapworks (click this) products. (P.S. Some of the Holiday Paper is on sale!)

Happy Fall

Happy Fall to you All!
Yesterday was officially the first day of Fall, and boy was it in the air. It was chilly outside and we even woke up snow covered mountains this morning in Utah. Time is flying and before we all know it Christmas will be upon us!

I am so behind on just about everything ... including keeping my blog updated! Last week was crazy. Heath loves his new job and is so busy!! Last week, he kept calling me and telling me that he was working late! So as I am sure you guessed, I didn't have any time for playing on the computer cause I was on MOM duty. (Heath helps out so much when he gets home and is so good about reading to the kids and getting them in bed so I have a little free time - Thanks Hun, I missed that last week!!!!)

The Winner Is ...

Thanks to our FEW blog readers who actually commented and left us an Apple Recipe. Since Taylee had a recipe, of her own, in mind (Grandma Sandy left us the idea of Carmel Apples ... funny thing I didn't even tell Taylee what any recipes were before she told me what we would be making ... her and Grandma think alike!) I decided to use this random way to choose our winner! AND THE WINNER IS ... Camille! Just send me your address to emilyholverson@comcast.net and I will send you your blocks! Thanks for your help with our first Family Homework Assignment!
HAPPY FALL TO YOU ALL!

A Recipe was Chosen ...

This morning as we are sitting down for breakfast, I tell Taylee that we need to choose an APPLE recipe that she would like to bake for her homework assignment. She proceeds to tell me that she has already decided what she wants to make! (This was not the first time she had heard of the recipe contest on my blog, she thought that was a great idea a week ago. We've been talking about it on a daily basis and she never had an opinion until it was time to choose a recipe winner.) Anyways, she tells me she wants to make "those things that you put sticks in the apples." So of course we made Carmel Apples!

An Apple A Day ...

You know that school is back in full swing when the homework starts rolling in! Last week Taylee brought home a "Family" Homework Assignment and we are in need of your help. Her assignment is to pick a recipe that has apples in it. Then we are supposed to make the recipe and eat it. After we taste it she has to make a poster with the results of what we created. Simple enough ... Ugh. Well, I went to my recipe book and I have one recipe that contains any apple ingredient in it and it is applesauce. So, I decided that it might be fun to see if any of you out there have any yummy recipes that have apples in it.

I will be sending (I love all the giveaways that I have seen lately) the winner, which will be done randomly (Taylee will pick which recipe she would like to try out ... I won't tell her any names), these cute WITCH blocks that will look so cute on your shelf for Halloween! She will pick her recipe on Saturday, the 15th, so please leave us your comment with an apple recipe idea by noon this day! We will announce the winner by Sunday! Thanks for helping us out!!

Salty, Sweet, and Chocolate

When we were in Idaho Falls for the summer a neighbor of my mom's made this dessert for a get together they were all invited to. This dessert, of course, became a family hit!! This is a great way to end the summer at your next get together or for the family that you are taking dinner to! (That is why my dessert is in two pans -- so our family could enjoy some, too!)

A New Look ...

While Kamdon was taking his nap today, I sat down and started to play with my blog. So far this is what I have come up with. It is not perfect yet, but it is a good start toward something new! Does anybody have any thoughts or suggestions on my new blog look?

Look Back (Again) ...

Summer 2007 - Digital Scrapbook Page #2

A Look Back ...

Labor Day kind of always represents the end of summer for me. I thought it would be fun to take a look back at the crazy, and memorable summer we had (Here is Digital Page 1). We brought a lot of noise and craziness with us when we moved in with my parents in May! We wouldn't have traded the great memories we had and hope that Grandma and Grandpa have recuperated since our move!! We hpe that when we come back to visit, probably much sooner than later, they will be glad we came!! Happy Labor Day!
