A Great Trip to Texas May 2011

May 6th
One of the first things we wanted to do when we arrived in Texas was to hit the beach.  We
had a great time enjoying the sun and trying to catch some waves.  What a great trip to
Texas me, Taylee, Tydon, Kamdon, and Kyler had!

May 7th we had tickets to enjoy Disney on Ice.  We loved every minute of the show!

May 9th
Lets build a Sand Castle and the "Pesky" Birds

The Seagull's loved when we came to the beach because we always had food.
We decided to roast hot dogs on the beach.   Mom put her hot dog on the stick and stuck it in the air.  A brave seagull swooped down and ate the raw hot dog right off the roasting stick.  It was hilarious.  Then the darn birds would not leave us alone and mom ended up getting pooped on!  Such a funny day at the beach.

We visited the Aquarium
May 10th

We loved shopping at the Shark Store and couldn't resist a great picture!

May 12th we visited the USS Lexington with Grandpa, Grandma, The Brownings, and The Hatch's

Second half of our Trip to Texas May 2011

May 14th and 15th at Schlitterbahn.
We headed to San Antonio on the 13th for a day and then headed to Schlitterbahn. We had a great time at the BEST water park. The kids loved playing all day in the water and on the slides. We spend the night in a little cabin and enjoyed three of the different water parks that you could hop between. This is definitely the perfect reason to visit Texas!!!!!

Kamdon and Kyler loved riding the slides that they could do all by themselves.

The Younger Boys watching the surfers.

Taylee and Tydon loved trying their surfing skills! After many tries they actually did pretty well.

May 16th Pirate Day
Grandma Planned a Pirate Treasure Hunt for all the kids. They had a blast dressing up, reading their maps, and hunting for the treasure.

May 17th: Our Last Day in Texas

The ice cream man drove up and down the beach hoping we would all need a cool treat. Of course we all couldn't pass it up. Our Ice Cream friend had Kamdon and I a little worried. He saw me taking pictures so he picked up Kam. We were both a little worried he was trying to shove him in his van. BUT, to our relief, the ice cream man just wanted me to take a photo of him with Kamdon.

We love spending our days at the beach!

Kite Flying on the Beach

Before we could go home, we had to fill our bucket with as many sand dollars as we could. We loved searching the Sand Bars for Full Sand Dollars.

We had a great trip to Corpus Christy, Texas. We can't wait to visit the Browning Family again!!

Easter 2011

As promised ..... Here is a look back into our 2011.
I love Easter. I love to dress up my kids in matching clothes, I love hiding eggs and Easter baskets, I love that it means Spring is here, and I love that it reminds me of my Aunt Marsha. She passed away when I was 12. She loved the holidays and I love that my mom honors her with thousands of stuffed plastic Easter eggs in the largest hunt I have ever seen! (After I wrote this post and added photos .... I went and looked back at my post from 9 months ago. Funny thing, I already posted these photos! I guess that is what happens when you don't blog in forever! HEE HEE)

New Year, New Post

With the New Year, I have been thinking about all of those things that I have been really bad at this last year and all the many things I have to improve on. Blogging is one of them!! I had forgotten why exactly I was even doing it as I let other things take over my time. I realized that it has been way to long since I took time to write down and remember all of the fun times that life brings our way. It is the wonderful times we share creating memories that makes life worth living! So, I think I better get moving as I take time to reflect on the past year and catch up on all the wonderful memories we shared as a family!
P.S. It is going to take me a while to catch up, so sit back and grab a Pepsi and some Chocolate! (don't really or you'll break your New Year's Diet resolution)
